This story is about a girl who immigrate from El Salvador to the U.S

Fatima was born 4 April 1995 Morazán El Salvador her mom immigrated to the U.S in

1998. her mom.

Her  mom left her with her grandparents, it affected Fatima’s relationship with her mom

Because she didn’t remember her.

In 2008 her mom proposed Fatima come to live with her.

She would have to leave her country El Salvador, Fatima thought it was a good idea and a

new opportunity for a new life, so Fatima decided to come to live with her.

Her mom helped her to come legally the process took about a year,

It was difficult for Fatima to leave her country because she thought she would miss

everyone her friends, school, manly her grandparents because they were as her real

parents they took care of her most of her life.

Now she goes to a new school called FIHS it took Fatima almost a week to make new

friends at school and meet new people, Fatima says her life here in the U.S is so difficult

to her; specially at school Fatima doesn’t speak English and she doesn’t understand this

language, it is difficult for her.

That’s why she doesn’t like English but she tries to speak it.

However Fatima thinks English is very important for her and her future also she likes

Her new school because the teachers help all the students how to learn English. Because

SFIHS is for immigrants and people who doesn’t speak any English at all.

Fatima get homesick sometimes because she miss her old friends, her grandparents and

She wants to come back to El Salvador
