Her name is QI ping li. She is from a city called Taishan in GuangDong province in China. She currently 23 years old, she moved to the United States when she was 17.she moved here because her parents decided to move here. Also, she has other family relatives here.
When she first came to the United States, she stayed at her aunt’s house in Santa Rosa which is a small town in California. She thinks Santa Rosa is a small town comparing to San Francisco. However, she likes it because things are going move slowly there. If in the city, everything is moving in a faster pace. Also, the majority residents there adjustments when lives in a new country.
Actually she started her high school back in China but she finished her high school and got the high school diploma here. She stills in school, she studying in San Francisco State University and majoring in business administration. The classes were focus move on listening and writing she did not have lots of chances for speaking because Chinese in the primary language. It was hard to study business classes in English, because she was new to this field. She needs to get familiar with all those business terms in English. But now, she feels her doing all right.
She said she love came to the USA, and really happy that her has this chance to come to a foreign country, to study and to live, living in the United States. Not only can improve her English language. But also she can travel around, to meet interesting people, and to make new friends, to taste different food, and to learn new stuff.
She thinks USA and her country different. First, obviously she would say language. Secondly, since one is an eastern country and the other one is a western country, so culture and customs are definitely different. In Asia, umbrella is not only being used when it rain, people like to carry umbrella around with them for sunlight blocking during summer season also, but here people will only use them when it rains. During summer, they like to have move sunlight so that they can tan their skin.
She would go back and forth to China and the United States because she has her first home in China. And her second home is in the United States, she think it is always good to go” home”.
