Kelvin's story

By Cristian Aguilar

Kelvin Obed Perez is from Honduras. He is 16 years old he lives with his mom, four brothers and one sister in San Francisco. He thinks his country was better than other countries. He decided to come to the United States because he needed a better life and a better future.

He left his country in 2006. he came to the united states with his family by taking buses and walking immigration officials arrest them when they were crossing the border and immigration brought them to a detainment center In L.A.

He said that it was fun to come in the bus because he could see many places. He had a hard experience when he was coming in the bus with his family because they might get lost because they didn’t know the place where they were crossing. He came to the United States in January fifth of 2007. He didn’t like the United States because it is cold and his country is a hot place.

He went to Mission Education Center Elementary School when he came here. The school was good because he started to meet new people and started to make new friends. He feels bored being in the United States because he has been here for along time and he wants to go back to his country.
